About DDM Assignment

When you assign a DDM declaration to a device group:

  • All devices in the group will receive the declaration during their next DDM sync
  • Devices will automatically maintain the desired state defined by the declaration
  • Status reports will be sent automatically when the state changes
  • No manual commands or polling required - devices handle everything automatically

For OS update declarations, the server also ensures Apple-style status subscriptions are assigned so devices can report declaration validity and update progress back to this UI.
